In recent years, Xingtai Iron and Steel Corp., Ltd. (Xingtai Steel) focuses on high-quality product stalwartly to give great impetus to technological innovation, transformation and upgrading of product structure and full optimization of technology structure, which finished strategy transformation from common steel to special steel. Xingtai Steel can produce 476 different quality with 2228 grade products at present. Although annual capacity of Xingtai Steel is 3 million tons only, market share of high-tech products is more than 70%. Market share of 5 kinds of leading products is the top 3 and 16 kinds of products are unique in China, especially electroslag remelting steel as the important supporting point of benefit of Xingtai Steel.

　　In order to realize strategic adjustment of products of Xingtai Steel, the remelting research center was set up specially. After recent years of continuous development, the center established long-term cooperative relations with CISRI, CSIC, one nuclear industry institute, national key laboratory of USTB. At present, many steels were developed and produced such as stainless steel, hot die work steel, high-speed tool steel, high-temperature alloy steel, corrosion resistant alloy steel, bearing steel, steel for cold rolling roller, cold-work die steel, pure iron of remelting product and forging products.

　　The remelting research center of Xingtai Steel adheres to the path innovative, high-end and competitive and takes stabilizing quality, strengthening research and development and expanding products as means, which make the benefit of remelting products of Xingtai steel’s leading grade such as H13, NAK80 prompted continually and control of liquation up to internal advanced level. It laid the stable foundation of Xingtai Steel in the market of high-end mold steel and made solid step to replace import of high-end mold steel. At the same time, the center takes the high end remelting steel such as PG1、CLF-1 and 15-5PH as a starting point to make step towards military project, aerospace and nuclear power. The center also can supply consumable electrodes with high purity to downstream customer and development of all kinds of high grade material and service of production and processing.
