The 2024 International Quality Innovation Competition Release Conference and Award Ceremony was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand on May 22nd and 23rd, 2025. On the international stage, Xingtai Iron and Steel Company made a remarkable achievement for the industry: the company's R&D team won the first prize for the project "Innovative Technology and Application of High-Strength Ultra-Clean Cold-Forming Steel for New Energy Vehicles", which was the first international award for Xingtai Iron and Steel and also the first international award for the steel industry since the establishment of the International Quality Innovation Competition.

The International Quality Innovation Competition is the most influential international quality exchange event in the field of quality innovation. It was officially initiated by the Finnish Quality Organization in 2007, with the participation of quality organizations from China, Russia, Sweden, India, Israel, Spain, and other countries. It has been ongoing for 18 years. In 2021, at the initiative of the Finnish Quality Organization and with the support of all member organizations, the China Quality Association has been serving as the chair of the International Quality Innovation Competition Roundtable Committee since 2022. The competition evaluates projects based on two dimensions of innovation and quality, as well as five characteristics: novelty, practicality, knowledgeability, customer orientation, and effectiveness. It has now become an important platform for sharing, consensus-building, and gathering strength.
