Recently, Xingtai Steel took the samples to SGS, an international authoritative testing organization, for testing SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) under REACH regulation and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). According to the test report, 30 substances such as Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr6+, PBBs, PBDEs were not detected, which complies with the EU’s ROHS directive requirements; 61 inorganic substances and 11 organic substances of very high concern were also not detected. Thus, all the results meet the EU requirements of 0.1%.

Since 2009, fasteners and special-shaped parts produced by Xingtai Steel have been used by downstream users. These products were widely used in electronic products which are exported to EU, such as instruments and apparatus. Xingtai Steel carries out this inspection and got the qualified result every time. That shows that the wire products of Xingtai Steel have a strong guarantee for quality safety and can meet the EU requirement.

RoHS Directive is a compulsory standard legislated by EU, which restricts the maximum allowable levels of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+)to 0.1%(except for cadmium, which is limited to 0.01% ). REACH regulation by EU concerns the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. Substances that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment can be identified as substances of very high concern (SVHCs).72 substances of high concern have been identified and announced so far.
