Recently, Xingtai Steel organized and held a kickoff meeting for the informatization project related to the transformation, upgrading, and relocation to the new district. The company's Party Committee Secretary and Chairman Zhang Yuming, along with Deputy General Managers Ma Baoliang, Wei Suo'an, Wei Ligang, Zhang Junhua, Tian Xinzheng, Feng Zhiquan, Han Qinglian, Xu Huiyun, Liu Wanchao, Hou Haoran, and heads of various project departments and production plants attended the meeting. Additionally, Li Fang, the Deputy General Manager of China Metallurgical Southern Group Corporation and General Manager of the Steel Company, was present at the project kickoff meeting.
At the kickoff meeting, the company's Party Committee Secretary and Chairman Zhang Yuming extended a warm welcome to the partners present at the project launch—representatives from China Metallurgical Southern. He pointed out that achieving informatization and intelligentization, and transitioning towards Industry 4.0, are current global manufacturing trends. Building a smart factory is not only a response to the general trend of enterprise development but also an inevitable choice for further enhancing management levels within the company. The construction of the new plant's informatization project is a comprehensive engineering effort covering procurement, production process control, technological R&D, logistics, and other aspects. We must seize the opportunity of relocation and transformation, fully draw on Xingtai Steel's experience in informatization construction, integrate and optimize the existing digital platforms, and build the new Xingtai Steel into a world-class benchmark enterprise for special steel long-product R&D and manufacturing, characterized by 'openness, intelligence, green, agility, and integration'. All secondary units and functional departments should spare no effort to cooperate with the China Metallurgical Southern project team to lay a solid foundation for subsequent projects.
Li Fang, the Deputy General Manager of China Metallurgical Southern Group Corporation, stated that securing the Xingtai Steel project represents both an opportunity and a challenge. In the future work, China Metallurgical Southern will devote themselves wholeheartedly and go all out, fully mobilizing the company's expert resources to form a strong project construction team. In collaboration with Xingtai Steel, they will jointly create the new district's informatization project, striving to set a new benchmark for intelligent manufacturing in the domestic steel industry and support Xingtai Steel's high-quality and healthy development.
The meeting heard a special report from China Metallurgical Southern; it was made clear that General Manager Peng Shidan would take overall responsibility and comprehensively liaise and coordinate with the project partner, the China Metallurgical Southern team, to actively advance the informatization construction of the new district relocation.
