Recently, the sales and technical team of Xing Steel paid a visit to Geely Auto R&D Center and attended the industry summit themed Smart Connected Fastening, Linking the Future hosted by Ningbo Geely Auto Platform Generalization Center together with GAF Screw Expert. The summit aims to advance in-depth cooperation between Geely and its upstream and downstream partners, jointly build a safer, more efficient and smarter new ecosystem for fastening connections, and drive innovative development of the automotive industry.

Led by Geely Auto, the summit gathered participants including traditional fastener manufacturers, lightweight fastening connection suppliers and intelligent assembly enterprises. As a key raw material supplier in the automotive industrial chain, Xing Steel was the only steel mill in attendance. At the event, Geely Auto Platform Generalization Center fully and comprehensively opened the core resources of the vehicle manufacturer, ensured high-quality and efficient progress of the summit as an industry benchmark, and fully demonstrated the OEM’s leading and coordinating capabilities within the new smart electric vehicle ecosystem.

Wang Lijun, Director of the Product Application Research Institute under Xing Steel Technology Center, delivered a presentation titled Development and Application of Low-carbon & Green Cold Heading Steel Products of Xing Steel. He elaborated on the development and application scenarios of Xing Steel’s high-fatigue high-strength cold heading steel, annealing-free cold heading steel, non-quenched and tempered cold heading steel, providing new materials, new processes, new technologies and product support for the coordinated development of the whole industrial chain.

Fan Jing, Deputy Manager of Xing Steel Sales Company, stated that Xing Steel has obtained OEM certifications from numerous vehicle manufacturers, covering markets across Europe, America, Japan and South Korea, and gained recognition from many new energy vehicle enterprises. The company boasts top-tier adaptability of cold heading steel raw materials for domestic automakers. Through years of technological innovation and product research & development, Xing Steel has set industry benchmarks and achieved groundbreaking breakthroughs in automotive steel featuring high strength, lightweight design, low carbon and environmental friendliness.

During the summit, Xing Steel held in-depth discussions with vehicle manufacturers and fastener producers, reaching consensus on building the industrial chain ecosystem, establishing supply-demand matching platforms and exploring key business areas. All participants acknowledged they had gained valuable insights. Moving forward, centering on the demands of vehicle manufacturers, Xing Steel will cooperate closely with upstream and downstream partners, deeply engage in customers’ early-stage product development and scenario adaptation, and continue to deliver customized solutions from the initial design stage.
